You can add presentations, folders, and linked folders (folders that map directly to a folder in Mediasite) to a custom catalog. You do not need to add content to linked or search-based catalogs.
You must have
authorization from your Mediasite administrator to add content to catalogs. In
addition, if you do not have the appropriate permissions for the catalog or the
content you want to add, many features will not work. For more information,
contact your Mediasite administrator.
Add presentations to custom catalog
To add presentations to a custom catalog:
1. Click Edit to launch the catalog in edit mode. Click the Content tab.
2. Navigate to the folder you want, right-click it, and select Add Presentations.
3. When you add presentations, you can use the folder view or the search feature. In the folder view, navigate to the folder you want and select it. A list of presentations in the selected folder appears.
To do a search, click Search. Enter all or part of the title for the presentation you are seeking and click Search. Presentations meeting the search criteria are listed.
4. Select the check boxes next to the presentations you want to add and click OK.
Add folder to custom catalog
To add a folder to a custom catalog:
1. Click Edit to launch the catalog in edit mode. Click the Content tab.
2. Navigate to the folder you want, right-click it, and select Add Folder.
3. Enter a name and description for the folder, and optionally specify a keyword for it.
4. Click Save. Once a folder is added, you can add presentations to it.
Add linked folder to custom catalog
To add a linked folder (a folder that map directly to a folder in Mediasite) to a catalog:
1. Click Edit to launch the catalog in edit mode. Click the Content tab.
2. Navigate to the folder you want, right-click it, and select Add Linked Folder.
3. Select the server folder you want and click Save.
Remove presentations
To remove a presentation from a custom catalog or catalog folder:
1. Click Edit to launch the catalog in edit mode. Click the Content tab.
2. Select the check box next to the presentation you want to remove and click Remove. A confirmation message appears. Click OK.
You cannot delete
presentations from linked catalogs or folders. Presentations deleted from custom
catalogs are not removed from the Management Portal or the Mediasite. In
addition, permissions still apply so you can only update a presentation if you
have write permission for it. For more information, contact your Mediasite
