Catalogs are designed to access presentations that can be played back but presentations scheduled for recording are also shown as a courtesy. However, changes to a presentation’s visibility or recording state may affect whether it will appear in the catalog when you do a search.
Consider the following when searching for presentations in a catalog:
• When a schedule is in a catalog’s linked folder and the catalog is using the calendar layout, the catalog always shows a scheduled event even if it does not have a presentation created for it.
• Once a hardware Recorder creates a presentation for a scheduled event, the presentation will only be visible in the catalog if it is a live broadcast. Otherwise, the presentation will NOT be visible in the catalog until it has been recorded, published, and set to “Viewable.”.
• Once a Catch device creates a presentation for a scheduled event, the presentation will NOT be visible in the catalog until it has been recorded, published, and set to “Viewable.”.
• If a recorded presentation has been published but it is set to “Private” or “Offline”, it will only be visible to its owner. Other catalog users cannot see the presentation in the catalog.
